Someone Needs To Drive The Process

Needing others to be proactive

Sometimes there may be the need for others to act on behalf of the person with TBI, even if they haven’t identified that need.

Someone needs to drive the process

Recovery is a process that does not necessarily 'just happen'. There can be a need to push to get action.  This might be coordinating supports, having a plan or direction, and making sure that everything is properly communicated.  If nobody is driving the process, it can feel like being pushed around, or like things are falling apart.  It might be too overwhelming for the person with the TBI to take on this process of driving the recovery.
